You play through the conversation with Zoe multiple times, and each time your dialogue options are limited by which letters you've unlocked. As you choose different dialogue options that Zoe likes, you earn hearts, which let you unlock more letters for next time. Does that help? Was there anything in particular in the game that was confusing?
Ah! No typing needed, you can just click/tap on the dialogue option you want - but if it's grayed out, that means you don't have enough letters unlocked to choose it. Unlocked letters are visible at the top of the screen. You start with only the letters NOTHING unlocked, so at first, only the "..." option will be clickable.
Later in the conversation, you can answer "No" and earn some hearts, use those hearts to unlock more letters, and then on your next playthrough more dialogue options will be available.
This is a super cute game! I honestly thought the ending was going to be that you actually had to stay silent and be your natural self, and she would love you anyway. But this ending was really wholesome too. Great job, its really clever!
This. Is. So. Cute! This might have been a short game, but it was well thought out and executed. It's perfect for a casual gamer, but just challenging enough! The game is just amazingly well rounded, I'm still shocked this was made in just about 3 days!
I made an account just to say this is a really well written game. Zoe is really understanding of the protagonist and it's impressive how much personality the latter has beyond just 'shy.' Even after collecting all the letters I wanted to go through all the dialogue loops just to see what Zoe had to say. She feels more alive and human then any other 'dating sim' character I've ever read. I really resonate with the message of this game. Thank you!!
